Partnership defines our relationships with sending and receiving churches. This is maintained by mutual respect, love and understanding. Our Partners and staff appreciate being a part of an international team of many cultures that encourages, listens, supports, and grows together in faithful service to Christ. We rejoice in the reality of the global church and seek effective partnerships in newer mission sending contexts. We are committed to the development of local churches and the facilitation of those churches into cross-cultural mission. We are committed to co-operation with others in reaching common goals through shared vision and values. We work in partnership with many other organisations through secondment, while maintaining fellowship and accountability with Interserve and churches, at home and in the places where we work. We wish to promote genuine unity and to avoid unnecessary duplication in Christian work. From the Biblical account, Paul and Barnabas were sent on their first missionary venture in response to the leadership of the Spirit and with the partnership of the church at Syrian Antioch (Acts 14:26-28). Interserve recognizes this example as a model for the Church as it seeks to fulfil the Great Commission. The local church evangelises. It disciples and nurtures those whom God brings to faith in Christ. By this means, God equips his followers for service. Interserve is privileged to serve the local church in encouraging its members to play their part in world mission. The following tabs outline some basic modes of partnership: joining us in prayer, by contributing financially or by going to serve long term or short term.
Our vision is to see lives and communities transformed through encounter with Jesus Christ. It is prayer that will see this vision realised. Prayer enables, fuels and sustains Interserve and all its Partners in their health, relationships and purpose. To this end, Interserve fosters a spirit of prayer throughout the movement and with those who support our work enabling all, through various communications, to pray sincerely and regularly for our work. Many of our National Offices offer a range of prayer resources. Contact a National Office near you to find out more about joining with us in prayer.
We believe that 'lives and communities transformed through encounter with Jesus Christ' is a vision worth investing into. Sending mission Partners to serve cross-culturally is costly, but we step out in faith and trust in God’s provision. Most of Interserve’s funding comes from the sacrificial giving of our supporters. Team Support is a group of people committed to supporting Interserve Partners with prayer, relationship and financial support. This commitment means that Partners, supporters and Interserve are linked together — in faith and dependence on God’s provision. Please contact the relevant Interserve Office to find out more about supporting our Partners. Special Projects provide opportunities to support specific projects and strategic initiatives. One current initiaitive is the establishment of an Endowment Fund to enable newer missions from less affluent contexts. Please contact us if you would like information on our other special projects requiring funding. Undesignated Donations are welcome and are used to enable the work of Interserve International generally. Donors in the US and Australia can donate directly online. If you are from another country or wish to obtain further information, please contact us using the International Office contact form. People from Australia »People from USA »
